Structure and trends of export financing of the Czech companies

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the structure and trends of financial instruments used in international business operations in the Czech Republic on the example of Československá obchodní banka, a.s. and Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation and subsequently to evaluate what services in this area offers to their clients on the Czech market. This analysis then draws conclusions and recommendations for improving the offer of banking products and services of these chosen financial companies.

Contract for work in international construction projects (Summary) The present master thesis analyses the contemporary practice in the field of making contracts for work in international construction projects. Its goal is to answer the following research question: is it possible to use the new Czech trust concept as a payment instrument under the most used FIDIC standard form of contract - Conditions of Contract for Construction First Edition 1999 (better known as "Red Book")? The thesis is divided into three chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the new trust concept: from construction projects through construction contracts for work to payment conditions. The opening part of Chapter One focuses on construction projects. It defines their characteristic features and describes the main types of their management, organization and contractual relationships. Next, the chapter discusses the international character of construction projects and concentrates on situations involving a conflict of laws. Party autonomy and the choice of law rule, that empowers parties to designate the applicable law to their contractual relationship, are assumed to be fundamental principles of contract formation in international construction projects. International trade with fresh fruit and vegetables

The main goal of my Master´s thesis is to evaluate dynamic environment of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. In the first part of my thesis I analyzed importance of the production of fresh fruit and vegetables for economies of selected countries. Next I had described the trade flows and patterns. In the second part I made a characterization of payment terms and trade negotiations in the context of international trade with fresh fruit and vegetables. Furthermore I made an analysis of import and export rules and regulations of the EU. Based on this analysis I came to general conclusions on the trade policies of countries and communities. In the last part of my thesis I applied findings from the previous parts on the analysis of two cases. The first analyzed case is the situation of imports of Chinese pomelo to the EU, with regards to maximal residue levels of pesticides. Second analyzed case is the situation of South African citruses imported to the EU, with regards to the problematic of citrus black spots.
The sales policy and business instruments of Kadia

This bachelor thesis deals with sales policy of a German company producing honing and deburring machines. The main object of this thesis is description of the sales policy and business methods of the company KADIA Produktion GmbH+Co. including suggestions of more effective sales strategy. This bachelor thesis involves specification of its position on the market, customers' characterisation and description of their relations with Kadia. Furthermore, the process of commissions and business operations is described. In a separate chapter, future trends of sales and suggestions how to increase the efficiency of sales policy are summarised.
Entrance of the Czech firm to the Turkish market (based on case study)

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to analyze the business case of small Czech firm, based on theoretical knowledge, whose core business is production of motor oils and industrial lubricants. The firm tried to enter Turkish market. This try, however, happened to be unsuccessfull. The first chapter characterizes Turkey as such, its macroeconomics indicators and the specifics of business negotiation. The second chapter describes the business relationship among Turkey and EU, the custom procedure and custom formalities. The third chapter gives idea about the forms of entrance to the foreign markets, payment conditions and possibilities of insurance in international business. Finally, the fourth chapter analyzes the case study, provides the suggestion of the alternative approach and gives the idea of the possible solutions of the current situation of the firm.
Credit Risk in International Business and Credit Management

The main objective is to analyze various possibilities in credit risk management from a perspective of a domestic company dealing mainly with foreign customers. The thesis contains both theoretical and practical part and includes general characteristics of risk and different types of risk in international business. It puts emphasis on credit risk, its origin and types of credit defaults. Furthermore there are included various methods used for counterparty risk estimation, credit risk valuation anf its elimination in form of setting up credit limits based of rating agencies recommendations or financial analysis, choise of relevant payment terms etc. The thesis contains several classic and multifactor models used in credit analysis. Main topic is credit risk management and methods for the risk elimination such as factoring,forfaiting, guarantees, collaterals or insurance. The last part demonstrates a practical case using the knowledge from the theoretical parts.
Export financing of a chosen company

This Bachelor thesis analyses the most common terms of payment in international trade, facilities for financing export and institutions, which offer their products for securing and financing the requirements of a contract. The first part is focused on terms of payment, which occur in international trade. In the second part are the most common methods of financing particularized. Further there are introduced commercial and state institutions, which offer their products to the exporting companies. In the practical part are on the example of Ege, spol. s r. o. evaluated concrete methods and most common processes of financing and securing the export. In the end are the financing ways and the potential stance to the used methods evaluated.
Terms of delivery and payment and their influence on price in the buying contract

This diploma paper consists of 5 main parts. First part is focused on buying contract in general. Two parts which follow are dealing with two of it's important parts-terms of delivery and terms of payment. Next part is explaing the influece of terms of delivery on price and the influence of terms of payment on costs of a certain transaction. Last part is focused on the usage of both, terms of delivery and payment, demonstrated on a real company.
